The 3 metre Bell tent is both a distinctive and practical way to camp, it is simple to erect with just a single central pole and guy ropes to stretch the canvas and keep the shape. The design of this tent has withstood the test of time and was in use as military kit in the 19th Century.

FBA 3 metre Bell Tent

Our Bell tent has features that will benefit you greatly in your camping experience. Measuring 3 metres in diameter our tent takes up less room than an alternative 4 or 5 metre Bell tent. Those of you wishing to use your Bell tent at a festival will appreciate that space is at a premium, so we offer the ultimate compromise; a 3 metre bell tent that will give you the luxurious camping experience you desire combined with the compactness offered by modern tents. We have added a metal hoop attached to the main pole for hanging your lanterns or coats. We have also added special foot pads to the groundsheet to fit the bottoms of the A frame door pole in to prevent it slipping. This can and does happen in alternative designs.

The 3 metre bell tent has an extra thick groundsheet (500g/m2) that can be zipped on and off. This is so you can still roll the walls up on a hot day for ventilation, or zipped into position to ensure that water cannot enter. The Zip is concealed by a flap of canvas that runs around the tent.

When zipped in the groundsheet forms a ‘bowl’ that will prevent water running in if you happen to find yourself in a field that is rapidly turning into a lake!!

Our 3 metre Bell tents can accommodate 3 standard single air mattresses or two double air beds. Or if you wish to still leave plenty of room for lounging about then just go on your own!

• Lightweight but strong (290g/m2) high quality, cotton canvas.
• Weighs only 15.5kg so you can easily carry it into a festival.
• Has a metal hoop attached to the centre pole for hanging lanterns etc.
• All packs down into a matching canvas carry bag (100 x 20 x 20cm).
• Great natural colour providing a gentle ambience inside.
• ‘A’ frame entrance pole. This helps prevent water from entering in through the door way.
• Easily erected by one or two people (approx 10 mins for two!)
• Heavy duty zipped in (detachable) groundsheet (fireproof treated).
• Triple stitched seams all round for durability and strength.
• Un-zippable windows fitted with mosquito netting for ventilation.
• The A-frame door pole has some features now added to the groundsheet to improve footing (please see pictures).
• If you are concerned for security, you can use a padlock to lock the front zips where all 3 zips meet.
• Treated against Mould, mildew rot etc.
• Smaller “foot-print” than 4 metre alternatives, better for Festivals where space is at a premium.

FBA Hurricane Lamp

These lamps are pure ‘old school’ in design and function. They are fantastic lights that will run for days on a small bottle of lamp oil.

Just unscrew the tank and fill two thirds of the tank with oil. Light the Wick for many hours of light, these are perfect for camping, power cuts or for use at home in the garden.

The lanterns have a small arm on the side to raise and lower the glass globe for lighting the wick. There is also a small round arm that you can turn to raise or lower the wick which can increase or decrease the amount of light.These Lanterns come complete with a funnel for filling the lamp with oil, and also a spare wick.

FBA Sheepskin Rug

These beautiful sheepskin rugs are responsibly sourced from a Mongolian farming co-operative.
They are a long wool variety (up to 9cm fleece length) and are luxuriously warm.

Use them to deck out your Bell tent as floor rugs or alternatively they will make a lovely insulated base for your sleeping area.

These sheepskins have varying colours and spotting and have been left entirely natural without being dyed or bleached.

Please remember that Sheepskin is a NATURAL artefact. Each woolskin is unique.
